If any candidate is not satisfied with the answer key, they can challenge it by paying a fee of Rs 200 per question. It will be a non-refundable fee. Applicants have to select the ‘challenges regarding answer key’ option, select the paper they appeared for and then select the correct answer according to them. They have to upload supporting documents for which you can select ‘choose file’ and upload (all documents to be put in a single pdf file). They should then save their claim and pay the fees.

The fees have to be paid through online banking, credit or debit card. Challenges can be submitted till February 4 till 7:50 pm and fees can be paid till 8 pm of February 4. Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the answer key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. The result will be prepared based on the final answer key.

How to download NTA JEE Main Answer key 2023?

Candidates may find below the series of steps to be followed to JEE Main answer key 2023 download PDF:

1. Visit the official website of NTA at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
2. Select the link to the answer key of JEE Mains 2023 in this window.
3. Now, candidates are required to enter their JEE Main application number and date of birth
4. Click on submit and the JEE Mains 2023 answer key will appear on the screen.
5. Download the NTA answer key pdf file for more convenience.

After downloading the JEE Main 2023 answer key, candidates can compare their responses and thus, calculate their probable score. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections against responses provided in the NTA JEE Main 2023 answer key that they think are wrong while providing proof in support of their contention. The objections so raised shall be considered by the experts and then changes may be made in the JEE Main final answer key 2023.

How to challenge JEE Main 2023 Answer Key?

After downloading the provisional NTA JEE Main answer key 2023, candidates will be allowed to raise objections against the answers mentioned in the answer key wherever they think that the answer is incorrect. In order to raise objections, candidates must note the question ID and answer provided through the answer key of JEE Main 2023 along with the correct answer and apply through the link provided to candidates along with payment of a processing fee of Rs 200 for each question. For a challenge, they had to follow the steps given below:

1. Visit the official NTA website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
2. Click on the link to ‘challenges regarding answer key’.
3. Candidates now are required to log in using their application number and password.
4. The JEE Main answer key 2023 shall contain the question ID as well as the ID with a correct option for both papers 1 and 2.
5. In case there seems some error, candidates can challenge the question by selecting one or more IDs.
6. Now click on ‘Save your claim’ and click on next.
7. Question ID so challenged shall appear on the screen.
8. Candidates now are required with the necessary documents in support of their claim.
9. They have to upload the same in pdf form and click on the ‘Choose file’ button shown on the screen.
10. The next step requires candidates to pay the processing fee of Rs 200 for each question thus objected against. Payment can be done through credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

Candidates may note that the processing fee is a refundable amount and candidates whose claims turn out to be relevant and thus accepted by the authorities get the processing fee refunded. Also, no claim shall be considered for candidates who raised objections without paying the respective processing fee.
