Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has published the latest notification for the recruitment of Constables in the state. The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has started the recruitment process for 60244 posts of Reserve Civil Police. The online application process for recruitment will start within a week through the online mode. The application registration process will start on 27 December 2023. There is good news for the youth. For youngsters dreaming of becoming a part of UP Police, it’s time to tighten their shoelaces. The recruitment board is preparing to conduct the written examination on February 11, 2024. Examination centres are being selected. About 25 lakh candidates are expected to apply for the constable recruitment.
It has been decided to conduct the examination simultaneously in the entire state in a single shift. The examination centres are being selected based on earlier examinations by the Union Public Service Commission, UP Public Service Commission, UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission and UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
UP Police Vacancy 2024 for 60244 Constable Posts
Under UP Police Vacancy 2024, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has announced 60244 Constable vacancies to be filled this year. Out of the total, 24102 vacancies are for the General category, 16264 vacancies are for Other Backward Class (OBC), 6024 vacancies are for Economically Weaker Section, 12650 for SC and 1204 for ST.

UP Police Constable Bharti – Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Applicants must be 12th pass or intermediate from any recognized board or equivalent qualification approved by the Government.
- Applicants should have an ‘O’ diploma in computer education from (DOEACC) /NIELT Society.
- Applicants must have served in the Territorial Army for two years, or they should have a ‘B-Level’ diploma in National Cadet Core.
Age Limit
- For Male Candidates – Applicants must have attained an age of 18 years and should not be more than 22 years as of 01 July 2023. Applicant must not be born before 01 July 2001 and after 01 July 2005.
- For Female Candidates – The candidate has attained the age of 18 on 01 July 2023 and should not get the age of 25. Candidate should not be born before 02 July 1998 and after 01 July 2005.
Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories per the state government rules.

Application Fee
Applicants must pay an application fee of ₹400/- while applying for the UP Police Constable Jobs. Payment of the application fee can be made online through the portal. Candidates of the Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes are exempted from paying the application fee.
