At the celebrations for the 75th Independence Day, CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao introduced the social security pensions for ten lakh new beneficiaries under the government’s “Aasara” program. For the first time, those over the age of 57 are beneficiaries. It used to solely apply to people in the 65+ age group. The aim is to cover all eligible pensioners and not merely increase the pension amount. Dialysis-dependent kidney patients would also be covered by Aasara pensions.

Telangana’s government provides TS Aasara pension to people above 65. During the 2018 election campaign, K. Chandrasekhar Rao vowed to expand this plan to adults ages 57 to 65. The Department of Rural Development’s Society for the Elimination of Rural Poverty is accepting applications from suitable people. All 57-year-olds at the time of application may apply. Aasara Pension List Eligibility

For senior citizen applicants, the following eligibility requirements apply:

• The minimum age is sixty-five.
• The applicant must belong to a primitive or endangered tribe.
• Whether they reside in rural or urban areas, fruit and flower vendors, snake charmers, rag pickers, coolies, rickshaw pullers, hand cart pullers, and cobblers are eligible.
• Individuals who are homeless or who live in makeshift shelters or huts

For widow applicants, the eligibility needed is listed below.

• There should be a minimum age of 18 years.
• The widow must be a member of a vulnerable and primitive tribal group.
